Revive My Macbook Pro (2011)
Well, today I had an appointment with Khaled Ibrahim for reballing the GPU in my old Macbook Pro (2011). I was so excited because I had been using that laptop around three years until it was broken. Yes, I got a new Macbook Pro 13" (2014). It's a lot faster with everything and I'm now addicted to the sharpness of Retina screen.
I was planing to wake up around 6 AM to record time lapse for sunrise but it's never happened. Today, I fought with myself and finally I got up almost 7 AM. I did record for a bit but it was too much cloudy. I think I'm getting serious into time lapse photography.
It took almost two hours to get to the place I fix my laptop. Khaled Ibrahim was the guy who revived my Ironman Macbook Pro to be alive again.
Now, my MBP is working again but it is so slow. Well, I'm thinking to sell it for a second, but since a few keyboards is not working so I probably do some upgrade and keep it as an second laptop or give it to my dad. Here is my upgrade list;
- Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB $114
- Corsair Apple Certified 4GB $43
- Tested keyboard for 15" Macbook Pro A1286 replacement With Backlight $22 (I would fix it by myself instead of paying $150 to send it to fix..)
The total I need to spend on this MBP is around $180, which I spent on reballing GPU $200. That's why I feel I should keep this MBP instead of selling. I have spent too much money on it. Anyway, it's better than leave it broken like that, right?
After finish fixing my laptop, we went to shopping for a bit with Uncle Dang and Aunt Tot.
We left house since 8AM and we came back 8.30PM. It was a long day but it's worth to get my baby back :)
And I got two books today from Amazon Prime :)
