Austin Getaway

Away is a place where it’s not about the money you spend. It’s about the moments you share.

Jessica and I have been planning this trip a few weeks before spring break. We love camping. They are many places we can go within 2-5 hours drive from DFW. We talked about Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, Oklahoma, Horseshoes Canyon Ranch, Arkansas, and, of course, Rock Dog Campground, Austin. We picked Rock Dog.

I like to plan with no plan. What I mean is I plan a two days trip and make all schedule very flexible. There should be no rush feeling during the trip. We just want to get out of DFW and relax. Therefore, we have two days and a night. We had a couple places in the list to go in Austin.

"Hey, your tire is flat!" Frank, a neighbor of Jessica, asked me when I took Scout, Jessica's dog, to potty. Oh shoot, I didn't see that. Frank is a very nice man lives very close to Jessica's apartment. He ended up help me change the tire with his tools. It would take me a lot longer to change the flat tire with my own tool. Thanks Frank!

We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.

It was raining the night we camped. The campground was very muddy and cold. Well, by all mean, we had so much fun. We had a crape at 6th street, coffee and macaroons at Mozart's coffee, and stop by to see my cousin before we headed back home.

It was fun. We need to go camp out more. :)

Well, I got a new tire from a little Mexican shop. The tire is cheap and I'm not going to complain.
