Mary Beth Walkers is a beautiful baby girl from Autumn and David. It has been a long time since I have met them. Three years ago, yes, it was exactly three years. When I started getting into wedding photographer in Texas. I still remember that I charged only $800 for the wedding package. I can't recall if that package also include a free engagement session. I just wanted to shoot weddings so much. That was a period of me building my portfolio.
Jane, David's mother, contacted me if I could take pictures of her's son wedding. Absolutely, I would definitely love to. The Walker's wedding turned to be one of the most weddings I have ever shot so far. I was that lucky.
"Nat! I'm going to delivery my baby around October. What is your availability?" Autumn texted me. I was very excited to meet them again with the new member of their family, Mary Beth. We planned to do the session at her sleeping time. Bu you know, how unpredictable babies are. She was wide awake most of the time of the session. If you dont know about a baby session, the session is already difficult in nature since the baby would not listen to us. haha. She might cry, sleep, smile, potty, or anything. However, I made it through smoothly with the help of the awesome parents, Autumn and David.
I edited some pictures of this session with Kodak Gold S-TRI-X, which is a black and white film. I do believe black and white pictures communicate emotion better than colors in this situation. I want audience to feel the connection between mother and daughter, and parents and child. Pure love in the form of photographs.
FYI, I edited black and white pictures for the blog purpose. The family will receive pictures in color.
